               Going to church on Sunday

makes you a Christian just as much as

sitting in your garage makes you a car.

It's what you do in between

                                         Sundays that counts.

ONGOING-

The Capital Area United Way is in need of volunteers to help with its income tax programs. Volunteers are needed to help with intakes, scanning of documents, tax preparation and community resources. No experience is necessary, there are opportunities for all. If you would like more information contact Ken Slater. Flyers are available in the foyer.

Mount Hope UMC's small household ministry needs YOUR help!

They are needing table lamps, irons, ironing boards, rugs, and bathroom rugs. Women who have fled domestic abuse situations, those who have suffered fires, parents working to get children back and many others all come to the Small Household Needs Ministry to get help. The families could never hope to buy all the items they need themselves. Through the donations in goods and funds from the community, Mount Hope UMC, in partnership with Grace United Methodist Church, is able to help these families.

Items that can also be donated: Sheets, blankets, bedspreads; pillow Cases, towels & washcloths, pots & pans, baking dishes & pans, cooking utensils, tea/coffee pots, glasses, dishes, silverware, small appliances (toaster, iron, alarm clock, etc.), ironing boards, rugs, shower curtains, table linens, broom & dust pan, mop & bucket, and curtains & drapes.

Deliver donations to: Mount Hope UMC, 501 E. Mt. Hope, Lansing 482-1549 (call for hours). Please be sure to leave your name and church name with the donation.

God Bless!
